Is this breaking girl code?

My best friend has been hanging out with my physically abusive (now ex) boyfriend. She HATED his guts and wanted to kill him, but now she's laughing it up with him and talking to him. She says she's just civil with him, but that's bullcrap. She's getting desperate for a boyfriend, and he's desperate for a girlfriend. She's pissing me off so much, and she thinks there is nothing wrong with this. She says "Oh he said he's changed" which is complete sh*t, he never changes. Isn't this wrong of her?
