From the sound of it, you broke your wrist after you blew off your summer reading assignment and stopped doing homework. Maybe if you actually tried hard during the rest of the year they might have a little sympathy, but it sounds to me like you just sort of gave up, and now you're trying to blame your problems on everyone but yourself.
