What could i do to understand computers better? im 15 years old and dont know a crap about computers.?

im more of a person who doesn't use computers as often and if i do its just to play games, chat, and watch videos. I want to get into a good career and knowing that most good jobs revolve around using computers i knew i was screwed. Im in grade 10 now and going into grade 11 and dont really know much about computers, i would love to learn about computers and how to do stuff with them. I was wondering about taking computer engineering in grade 11 but was told it was really hard and now think my life if ****** up.. should i take computer engineering and learn as much as i could? or would it be to much for a newbie
